Pitching your story to the right journalists and outlets to build credibility and visibility you can't buy.
Strategic communications & PR
From one message to a whole movement.
The organizations doing the most meaningful work are often the ones who can't afford to be heard. Position helps mission-driven organizations amplify their stories, reach the right audiences, and grow so they can sustain the work that matters.
Deliberately position each piece
Every engagement is scoped to what your organization actually needs.
Strategy and support for the owned channels where your audience already lives.
Preparing your spokespeople to perform on camera, on mic, and on the record.
Communications-focused counsel on how to tell the story that moves donors to act.
Clear-headed counsel when something goes wrong and the stakes are high.
Positioning your spokespeople as credible expert voices through op-eds, speaking opportunities, and strategic commentary.
Blogs, newsletters, podcasts, and other channels that build your voice and your audience over time.
Ongoing guidance on how to position your organization, respond to the moment, and build toward long-term goals.
Strategic guidance on how advertising can support your communications goals.
Developing the foundational document that defines how you talk about your work, so everything you say pulls in the same direction.
Broader strategic support for organizations navigating growth, transition, or a new positioning challenge.
Planning and running the moments that matter, from reports and initiatives to announcements that need to land.
We don't invent your story. We find it.
Most organizations doing meaningful work already have the argument they need. It is sitting inside the work, the data, and the people doing it. The job is to find it, sharpen it, and put it in front of the people who can act on it. We call it the Position Method.

What happens when strategy scales.
In one week, a national movement of regular moms advocating for change in their communities reached 436 million people across 10 cities. The difference was a smarter system.
people reached
events across ten cities
week, start to finish
Using AI to handle the scale, we kept strategy where it mattered most: finding the right reporter, the right angle, and the right hook for each market. Real stories. Real strategy. Real results. Coverage landed at every event because we built a system that positioned each one to land as one movement across ten cities.
Founder & principal
Grace-Lauren
Williamson
I founded Position Communications on a simple belief: the organizations doing the most meaningful work in the world deserve the same quality of strategic communications support as the ones with the biggest budgets.
Before launching Position, I built my career across the technology and faith-based nonprofit sectors. At Padilla, I worked on AI, machine learning, and technology accounts for clients including CRISP, IDA, and Assent, developing the ability to translate complex ideas for mainstream audiences. At Pinkston, one of the country's leading faith and nonprofit communications firms, I served as primary strategist across a portfolio of nationally recognized organizations, including Museum of the Bible, Young Life, and National Christian Foundation. I have led earned media campaigns, messaging, media training, crisis communications, and architected AI strategy.
Position exists because communication is one of the most powerful tools available to organizations working to change the world. I built Position to help mission-driven organizations go from one message to a whole movement.

Built around your budget and your stage, not a fixed rate card.
Strategic communications shouldn't be reserved for the organizations with the biggest budgets. So we start with a simple question on our first call: what can you invest? From there we design the most effective work we can around it, show you what that level of support makes possible, and map what we'd add as you grow.
Tell us where you are, and we'll show you what's possible.
Start the conversationYour story deserves an audience.
Position works with nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and mission-driven businesses doing meaningful work and ready to invest in sharing it with the world.
